Informative Writing Student Version
These student version educational videos are FOR INFORMATIVE WRITING. Each video is a mini lesson and numbered in the order of the Step-by-Step Writing Program and Professional Development Course.
Each video is set up so to model a prompt using each mini-lesson all the way to the final copy. Most of them are less than five minutes long. It provides students with the necessary tools to be able to apply that skill or strategy into their own writing. For example, it will give the meaning behind the skill or strategy, examples, modeling (How to apply it), and some of them have practice and mentor text. Then I encourage students to apply it in their own writing.
